SDN & OpenFlow World Congress 2015
October 12 – 16 | D
üsseldorf, Germany
Assembling more than 1,300 global delegates, this international conference created a unique forum for CENGN-supported SMEs and their multinational partners to showcase, validate and market emerging SDN and NFV innovations to prospective clients around the world.

Leveraging support from the Governments of Canada and Ontario, CENGN and eight member companies participated in the conference’s ONF SDN Showcase, where two of CENGN’s commercialization acceleration Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) were nominated for the Best in Show Award.

CENGN was an active contributor to the event, with our CEO Ritch Dusome delivering two presentations on the World Congress stage: CENGN Project Use Cases and Expertise with Arno and SDN and NFV Real World Deployments.

CENGN also facilitated Business-to-Business meetings with participating Canadian and international firms, as well as hosting a Mixer at the CENGN booth with Canadian Beer!

OPNFV Summit 2015
November 9 – 12 | Burlingame, California
The inaugural OPNFV Summit was a great success with over 700 people from the industry in attendance and the buzz of innovation and collaboration around every corner. CENGN was announced as the organization’s first Associate Member, as a result of our significant technical contributions to the open source project which is dedicated to accelerating the introduction of new products and services using NFV.

CENGN’s membership will allow us to contribute new technology, training and technical services to the OPNFV community, while collaborating on new commercial NFV solutions with some of the largest networking players in the world. To further our contribution to the OPNFV community, CENGN is adding a Pharos CI Lab in our Data Centre – making it the second to be established in Canada.

OPNFV & CENGN:
Pharos Lab

CENGN is a member of OPNFV and is in the process of launching a Pharos community test lab.
The Pharos lab will provide a NFV testing infrastructure to developers from around the world, to facilitate continuous integration, deployment, and testing of the OPNFV platform. The diversity of perspectives across developers, users and vendors participating in these labs make the project critical to the success of the OPNFV platform.

Illuminating Possibilities with a Dark Fibre Connection

Thanks to CENGN member Allstream we now have the addition of dark fibre WAN capabilities to our testing facilities.

Fujitsu is joining CENGN!

CENGN is looking forward to the addition of Fujitsu to the membership team. Fujitsu is already collaborating with CENGN members on a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Multi-layer Data Connectivity Orchestration. This project will demonstrate a true end-to-end multi-layer SDN orchestration of an MPLS-based WAN over Optical infrastructure, allowing real-time operations across multi-vendor platforms.
