Christian Szpilfogel, Vice President, Strategy, Contact Centres & IPR, Mitel
As VP of Strategy, Contact Centers and IPR, Christian Szpilfogel works with the Mitel executive team to develop corporate strategy and to conduct the analysis of and business development for prospective acquisitions. He also manages Mitel’s intellectual property and has recently taken over the Contact Center Business unit.
Christian has more than 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and leading product management, research and development, intellectual property and sales organizations across a variety of sectors, including wireless, cloud, CPE, carrier switching and carrier data networking.
He was previously General Manager of Mitel’s Small/Medium Business and Devices organization. He also served as Mitel’s Chief Architect, responsible for developing the company’s overall integrated technology plan, managing key customer account relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Since joining Mitel in 2000, Christian has been instrumental in the creation of a number of the company’s key portfolios, as well as in the development of Mitel’s virtualization, cloud, and mobility strategies.
Christian holds a Combined Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Computer Science from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada). He is a seasoned industry speaker, and presents regularly at key international forums around the world.
