Yet another CENGN project has reached successful completion. For the past few weeks, the CENGN infrastructure was put to good use by helping validate Aerys’ data centre and cloud solution, SmartShape. SmartShape is a visualization platform that allows for active uploading, viewing, and sharing of 3D models/CAD files via smartphone or Web browser. SmartShape acts as a collaboration space that allows users to view the same 3D file across multiple platforms (phone, tablet, or web) simultaneously. This streamlines the collaboration process between individuals taking part in large building/manufacturing projects, and can be of great benefit to industries that rely on 3D modeling.
Aerys came to CENGN to make use of our cloud tenancy and bare metal services and identify the compute performance required to run their SmartShape solution based on scaling the number of active and passive users accessing the application. Upon completion of the stress test project, Aerys was able to determine what resources were required for different sized customers. This will make marketing SmartShape to potential customers more fluid as Aerys can now accurately define and allocate the needed resources and pricing for each customer and their unique needs.
