Introduction to SDN a 1-day class that covers the basics of SDN. It is ideal for a beginner audience that wants to obtain an overview of the concepts, definitions and open source initiatives in the SDN Arena. It has 50% lecture and 50% lab and is aimed at preparing participants for the ONF Associate level certification exam.

Inocybe’s OpenDaylight Bootcamp covers the critical skills needed to deploy an OpenDaylight-based solution. Training is conducted in a small classroom setting. Students will each be provided with a secure demo/test OpenDaylight environment for intense, hands-on access – initially via GUI-based tools (e.g., DLUX) that leverage students’ existing knowledge, then via ssh shell and command-line interaction. We’ll cover everything: from architecture and component interaction, through configuration, deployment, tuning, common use cases and troubleshooting – complete preparation for the real-world challenges faced in OpenDaylight deployments.

By registering for Introduction to YANG and NETCONF Development and Testing, attendees will be able to learn YANG Data Modeling Language, NETCONF device configuration and status monitoring protocol. YANG, IETF RFC 6020, offers numerous advantages over the outdated and insecure SNMPv3 suite of standards with support for hierarchical data modeling, using an XML Tree based data model instead of inflexibly indexed MIBs.
