CENGN External Review Panel

CENGN’s External Review Panel is composed of third-party and neutral technology professionals and academics across Canada who assess which technology projects receive funding and support through the CENGN Living Lab initiative.

Who Are the External Review Panellists?

These evaluators bring expertise from numerous sectors across Canada’s tech ecosystem, including 5G, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, autonomous vehicles, robotics, drone technologies, and more.

Reviewers assess projects across multiple sectors, including smart mobility, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, smart buildings, 5G-based technologies, and enterprise software.

How Reviewers Evaluate Project Proposals

External reviewers evaluate project proposals based on technical merit, commercial viability, and potential for innovation. These assessments then inform funding decisions for Canadian startups and scale-ups applying to a CENGN project.

External Review Panellist Benefits

Being an expert review panellist comes with numerous benefits, including:

  • Exposure to advanced research partners, tech startups/scale-ups, and pre-market innovations
  • An opportunity to contribute to Canada’s technology sector
  • Further experience for career records and development
