Intellectual Property Protection & Resources for Artificial Intelligence

February 15

12:00am – 12:00am

Intellectual property (IP) rights not only protect and encourage innovation and creativity, but a proper IP strategy can lead to commercialization, higher growth and export opportunities. In a nutshell, a proper IP strategy is essential for businesses to fully realize the growth and economic potential of their innovations, while ensuring protection of what’s rightfully theirs.

Yet, protecting IP is not as straight forward for the artificial intelligence (AI) industry as it is for a tangible innovation like a piece of hardware. That’s why Intellectual Property Ontario and the University of Ottawa invite you to join us for an in-person event to hear:

  • what intellectual property protections are best suited for AI

  • how to use intellectual property as a business advantage

  • IP lessons learned from AI entrepreneurs

  • Available supports through IPON including up to 25K for IP services, mentorship services and IP education.

We also invite you to join us after the event to network with IP experts and industry peers.
