In addition to testing, the 5G Advanced Performance Living Lab provides a fail-safe environment for you to develop and test novel use cases in participation with other ecosystem partners.

5G Advanced Performance Living Lab Infrastructure and Offerings

The 5G Advanced Performance Living Lab provides comprehensive 5G testing and use case development capabilities with complete spectrum coverage across low-band, mid-band (including the NCLL frequency), and high-band (including mmWave frequencies) through ISED’s developmental spectrum licensing bands.

Conduct thorough testing on a private 5G network using these developmental spectrum licenses, where some of them are currently unavailable to the public, without interfering with public infrastructure.

Ericsson will supply SIM cards, eSIMs, and test devices for indoor and outdoor environments. All capabilities comply with Canadian regulations and are supported by secure domestic data centres.

Currently supported by the Canadian Government’s Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF), Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN) helps startups and scaleups bring their solutions to market. CENGN provides the resources and technical expertise to test and validate their innovative solutions while developing tech talent through its internship programs.
