Deploying Tungsten Fabric to a Kubernetes Environment

Published: December 11th 2018

It is our pleasure to showcase a new demo put together by one of our talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, Moh Ahmed. The demo was premiered for the first time at the CENGN Summit held on November 27th, 2018. During the event, Moh spoke to the demo to provide the Summit attendees some insight on one of the many open source projects CENGN uses to provide networking, analytic data, as well as management control.

In this demonstration, Moh goes step by step on how one can deploy Tungsten Fabric to a Kubernetes environment. He begins the demo with CLI deployment, exposing several different issues. Moh highlights that the Kubernetes cluster has no networking behind it, the NGINX cannot be deployed, and the DNS pod is crashing. From here, he breaks down the container architecture that will be deployed to solve the previously listed issues.

Watch the video below for an overview of how and why one should deploy Tungsten Fabric to Kubernetes environment.

CENGN has recently become a member of the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) the governing body of Kubernetes. Click here to learn more about how our partnership is driving the mutual benefit of both organizations.

At CENGN, we love to see our engineers succeed and we like to provide them the opportunity to show off their accomplishments. From technical presentations at our local meetups, to video recorded demonstrations, it is always exciting to see the great work being done at CENGN, and the entire ICT community at large.
